It was only not long ago (7 April 2016) that CK enlisted for Basic Military Training (BMT) in Pulau Tekong. And in a flash, we had just attended his Passing Out Parade yesterday (11 June 2016).
He survived the BMT, with no major problems (apart from dropping his Samsung S6 into a pail of water during washing).
His bunk mates were friendly and helpful. They got along well.
His sergeants and encik were quite good to them as well.
This year, the floating stage at Marina Square was under renovation. National Stadium was being used for National Day Parade practice. Hence, the POP was conducted at Pasir Laba Camp in Jurong.
We reached there by 7.20am (the ceremony only started at 9am). The guests (parents/friends) had started to arrive by then. Waited for over 1 hour at the grand stand, with the sun shining on us. It was a hot and sweaty morning!
