CJ journey in the Navy

CJ was posted to Changi Naval Base after his Basic Military Training.

He went through some training course at the camp there. We were invited for the graduation ceremony in Changi Naval Base in April 2017, followed by Specialist Cadet Graduation Ceremony in Pasir Leba Camp on 24 August 2017. After completion of his training in Changi Naval Base, he was finally posted to Tuas Naval Camp in October 2017.

Changi Naval Base was quite scenic. The place reminded me of some of the coastal tourist spots in Japan.

Being a new recruit in Tuas Naval Base, he had to undergo another round of OJT (on the job training). He had to report for work at 7.30am, and book out around 4.30pm everyday. Only after he has completed his OJT can he report for work at 8am. Tuas Naval Base is very far from our home. Just the MRT commute alone will take over 1 hour, not to mention walking to MRT station, waiting for shuttle bus from Joo Koon MRT to Tuas Naval Base. CJ has to catch the first train at 5.40am to reach the camp in time. To hire a GRAB taxi will cost over $30. Being a "filiel" father, I decided to drive him for work in the morning.

Hopefully he can clear his OJT soon...
