It has been over one week pass Deepavali celebration. The light decor in Little India is still not dismantled yet (read from the internet that the light decor will continue till mid November).
After seeing a patient in the evening, I drove to Little India for some night photography.
It was already passed 9.40pm when I reached a small alley branching off from Serangoon Rd. Most of the shops had already closed. Only restaurants, barber shops and fruit/vegetable stalls were still open. Managed to park my car in the one-way street branching off from Serangoon Rd. It was free parking from 10pm onwards.
Walked around Little India, snapping some photos along the way.

| Chanced upon this multi-storey carpark, with colourful vehicles on-display. I have a hard time deciphering if these are real cars, or just some computer gimmick on display... |
Colourful shop-houses in Little India - the yellow shop-house belongs to a restaurant... still open for business.

To be able to spend leisure time doing things we enjoy most is a luxury.
Better still, just sit in the midst of greenery, together with friend/s...out in the open air.
Fishing in the neighbourhood, solo or together with a friend, flanked by curious onlooker(s). Either under the sun (with hat shielding away the heat), or under a roof shelter.
And of course, nothing beats walking around aimlessly, with a camera in hand, trying to capture some photos... and that's what I did a few days ago...

| The mobile road sweeper ... taking a break! |
The photo was taken from our living room, which was separated from our balcony by a sliding door. The moment I slided open the door, the bird flew off to the trees nearby.
Apparently the sighting /arrival of hornbill means the arrival of good fortune and tranquility!

Was driving home in the late afternoon, and captivated by the cityscape - with building basked in luminous orange glow, and overhead brigde criss-crossing across busy road underneath. Quickly took out my handphone when my car was in stationary mode at traffic light junction (waiting for traffic lights to turn green).
An adolescent boy was recently admitted for severe headaches. Neuroimaging done showed the presence of tortuous basilar artery (a major blood vessel suppling the brainstem).
The CT angiogram performed showing the circle of Willies and its tributary, and looped basilar artery (which is supposed to be straight in normal individuals) was simply mind-boggling.
Hands down to the amazing advance in neuro-radiology in recent years! It has made diagnosis of vascular diseases much easier.
And of course, this may also bring out some pitfalls and controversies... like in this case. But, finally, after putting our heads together (involving a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeon, neurologist, rheumatologist, intervential radiologist), a consensus was finally achieved and treatment plan formalized!

Meant to hike up a hill, for an enchanting view of clouds from the peak.

But alas, it rained cats and dogs about 10 minutes of our hike. Had to abort the trip... My shoes were literally soaked on our return trip.
Hopefully, I will have a better luck the next time.

Nothing beats the aerial view of the terrace rice field from a cable car.
The photo was taken as we ascended to Fansipar Peak @ Sapa, in our recent visit to Hanoi.
Fortunately the sky was clear, and we have unobstructed view of the scenery from the cable car and mountain peak.
