We have a few hand carry and mid-size luggages.
2 wheels of our mid-size luggages were spoilt recently - specifically, the rubber ring surrounding the wheel had peeled off, creating a lot of noises when we wheeled the luggage on the floor (apart from being a bumpy ride).
Changing the wheels at luggage repair shops would cost us at least $30-50 per wheel. Decided to DIY ourselves.
Browsed through youtube to get some guidance - bought the necessary tool to saw off the wheel, and purchased the wheel of certain sizes that fit our luggage.
The tool and wheels arrived yesterday - worked on it today (Sunday).
This whole set cost me $12 |
It took me about 20 odd minutes to saw off the first wheel. Once I get the hang of it, the second wheel came off in 10-15 min or so.
The changing of wheel was easy. Here is the end result...
