This raises the question of why we bother to make changes when things are running smoothly? Shouldn't we just leave things at status quo?
The saying "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" may seem reasonable at initial glance.
However, after much deliberation, "no pain, no gain" is not far from truth as well.
After all, if we were to be contented with historic life styles such as letting the horses pulling our carriages, modern, faster and more convenient modes of transportation such as cars / trains / airplanes might never materialize.
If we never let our imagination run wild, slow mails (send via land transport/air) would continue to be our means of communication. Wireless and prompt face to face / voice chat via mobile networks would remain preposterous.
True constant innovations, self driving car which sounds like science fiction decades ago, is now making inroad into our society.
In a matter of three decades, the scientific and technological breakthroughs are truly astounding. Some of us may lament the passing of old carefree lifestyle, but on the balance, I feel that new inventions have provided more benefits than harms over the years!
Hence, bear with the occasional hiccups when new changes are introduced. Truly good and amazing things will triumph eventually!
